Cruze LT 1.4L Turbo

  • Automatic transmission
  • 58,334 miles

Started getting error message “AC off due to high engine temp” and then the fan turned on high speed for the entire time the car was running. Ran it like that over the weekend, every time the fan turning on right away. Then the check engine light came on. Brought it in for service, and they said it was the thermostat which was covered under warranty (with a $150CAD deductible). They changed that, and upon picking up to on Saturday, we were informed that the wiring harness is also the cause. They weren’t sure if it was under warranty or not so they didn’t change that, but assured me they would find out on Monday, and that the A/C message and the fan running had ceased and that the car was operating at normal temperatures.

Drove it away, and it was good, no more errors and no noisy fan. Got home, and when I went out again later, it was back, the A/C message and the fan. A short time into my drive, the engine light came on.

Still waiting for a call back from the shop to let me know if they wiring harness is covered under my extended warranty. I will update this review once the problem is resolved.

We had our 2012 Chevrolet Cruze reprogrammed and now have problems with the car fan continually running or the dash lights staying on. They keep telling us that it will stop eventually. We have received multiple recall letters on this Cruze and all we get told is that the warranties have been extended.

You stupid idiots, we won't need it if our brakes stop working or whatever else happens to them, or our steering locks up, or our transmission falls apart, it will probably kill us!

WHAT GOOD IS THE WARRANTIES THEN??? I GIVE EVERYONE A REAL GOOD REVIEW ON OUR 2012 CHEVROLET CRUZE.

I TELL THEM THE TRUTH ABOUT WHAT A PIECE OF CRAP IT HAS TURNED OUT TO BE!!! DO NOT BUY OR LEASE ANY CHEVROLET CRUZE, YOU MAY REGRET IT!!!

Cruze LT Turbo

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

leaking & fan stays on

The car companies are not making the parts to last!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This car should not be having all the recalls plus the cooling problems that it is having. Love the car but not the problems. Retired and on fixed income and the money keeps going out the door.
