We have been with this ongoing issue for about 2 years now. This car will randomly stall and turn completely off at red lights/stop signs. In addition, it has stalled multiple times while driving on the road (especially the highway). Not only does this happen, but it triggers the anti theft deterrent system which causes the car key to lock in place so you cannot remove it. Our temporary but exhausting solution has been to jump the car battery which seems to reset the anti theft deterrent system and release our car key. We have been through two car fans, two car batteries, a dozen other electrical issues (this main problem seems to be burning out all the other electronics of the car) and totaling up $3,000 with no fix and continuation with problems.

DO NOT BUY THIS CAR. Chevrolet should discontinue this model.

While driving down the interstate at 70mph all of my gauges quit working. The dash started lighting up with every warning light. Car was still driveable but had no turn signals, heat, radio, etc.

Called the dealership and they stated it was a known issue with the negative battery cable. They told me to bring it in and it would be a covered repair. Dropped the car off almost a week ago and they still have it. My bill at this point is $1300 and expected to keep climbing. They have replaced 2 different modules and now are tearing apart the dash to get to the instrument cluster.

I pointed out to them that they are just replacing parts and hoping it works and I have to pay for these parts as they are "non-returnable". I asked if the technician was a certified GM technician and was informed that he was. The gentlemen I spoke with told me that they could stop working on it, I could pay the $1300 and take the car as it is now if I wanted to. That is excellent customer service and loyalty!!!!!

I question that the tech has any clue what he is doing. Replacing parts and hoping it works is not in the customers best interest. GM doesn't care either. I emailed them regarding this practice and still have not received a reply.

A year ago, my car would start when it wanted to. Most days I would have to get it jump started. Took it to 2 different dealerships. First one "couldn't find a problem". Took it back to where I purchased it from. They had to rewire my whole car. They said some of the wires were loose and had bad connections, so when ever I would go over bumps they would lose connection, and the wire hub was shot (?)- sometimes I feel like they just tell me BS because I don't know about cars. About $500 later and loss of work days fast forward a year later and I'm having problems again. I called the dealership and my part is not under warranty. I can bring it in for the $175 fee to have them look at it. It will start on warmer days and not on cold days- let me tell ya, winters in WI there are few warm days...it now clicks while starting -when it starts- I'm going to replace the battery and hoping that will work this time.

I bought the car Saturday, it is Tuesday, this problem is getting very annoying, when sitting in park after driving, or when driving down the road if I turn on my turn signal, or apply the brake the dash and radio lights go blank and reset warning lights will flash stability control warning indicator will flash the the head lamps palate, then when I turn the car off I can't get the key out and it will go dead, it acts as if the battery is dead. after getting out of the car and back in 2 times the car will start but says to roll the driver window down and back up

Update from Apr 1, 2017: fixed it. was the negative battery cable. took it to the dealer they fixed it at no charge.

The car is not even a year old and I am having so many problems with it. I have had this vehicle for five months and the radio keeps going out, the power steering will go out, and the stabilitrack system will go out as well. I will suddenly lose power while driving and the brake warning light will come on. It has gotten worse over the past couple of weeks. I am now having this problem everyday. I am afraid for my life and I am scared that I will cause an accident due to this problem with my vehicle. I became extremely nervous when I was turning at a light one day and my power steering went out.

We pay too much money to have these problems with the vehicle and if they do not fix my car soon I will have to take other measures to ensure that myself or no one else gets hurt while driving this vehicle.

I JUST DON'T FEEL GOOD ABOUT THIS PROBLEM, THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WAS TOTALLY DEAD, THEY COULDN'T GET IT STARTED AND THE WINDOWS WOULDN'T GO UP, IT WAS LOCKED IN PARK AND THAT MADE IT DIFFICULT TO TOW. WARNING LIGHTS WERE FLASHING, LOSS OF POWER AND STEERING FOR A MOMENT DRIVING BACK FROM STORE, AND THEN IT WAS TOTALLY DEAD.

WHEN WE TRIED TO START IT, THE ON STAR, PHONE, OR ANYTHING WOULDN'T WORK TO CALL FOR HELP. GM GARAGE SAID THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG, BUT WE ARE AFRAID IT MIGHT HAPPEN AGAIN. WE DIDN'T GET A LOANER CAR AND HAD TO BORROW ONE FROM A FAMILY MEMBER TO GET HOME, WITH AROUND 200 MILES ROUND TRIP ON THEIR VEHICLE, WHICH THEY SHOULD BE COMPENSATED FOR.

IT WAS A BAD EXPERIENCE FOR US BEING ELDERLY WITH MEDICAL PROBLEMS. THAT'S ALL FOLKS.

About once a week while driving the electronics on the dash go completley out, when you shut off the car, it wont start for 20 to 30 minutes. There is no interior power, cant unlock trunk, etc. no dome lights, it has been in 3 times to dealer and they have done some rewiring, but cant figure out what is wrong.
