problem #2

Aug 012017

Cruze LS 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 88,000 miles

Check engine light came on showing running lean and says the intake manifold needs replaced. The chevy dealer wants 99 dollars to check to see if it is covered under warranty. Has been nothing but a problem shortly after purchase in 2016.

problem #1

Dec 012015

Cruze 1LT 1.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 31,000 miles

I had A mechanics shop try to solve the problem. No codes show up so they checked the battery, the starter and they both checked out good. I had them check the fuel pressure and it checked out good so I told them to leave it on overnight to see if it held overnight and it did. I told them even if the battery checked out to put new one in anyway just in case it might help but it didn't. The mechanic doesn't want to just start putting on parts to try to solve the problem because everything is so expensive. We talked about trying to put on A new fuel pump but that's about $500 plus labor and their not sure that will solve the problem. The problem just started now when it got cold this winter when you first try to start it, it will set and crank for maybe 30 seconds or more before it will start and then the rest of the day it starts ok and then when it sets overnight again I have the same problem all over again. I was wondering if anybody is having this problem to and if they found A fix that will take care of this problem. So far this car hasn't left her stranded in the morning but it is A big pain when they can't find the problem and fix it.
