pcv valve deteriorates not on recall list

If it starts running rough, and a whistling noise is coming fro the valve cover, Order one on eBay from a reputable or dealer. OEM is $60.00. Used black engine ate silicone on the top area where the timing cover and engine meet. slight crack. Then install the new cover. It's not a bad repair but I had to make a 5 hour trip the day the part arrived so I did it in the dark with a light. Code 0171 is what show up on scanner. Check for more recalls on these like Right cv axle, engine module, whatever. Overall this car has served us well. I can't complain much. I'm surprised it lasted this long. excellent gas milage.
