problem #2

Mar 252019

Cruze

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

I purchased this new used car in 2018, it had 65,000 miles on it when I purchased it. The dealer claimed and verified that it came with new tires, new motor, etc.

However, on March 2019, I I noticed that when I would turn of my car, I could still hear a noise as if the car was still running, I went to investigate, opened my hood and found a fan still running. I figured it was to cool the engine. This happened for several weeks, until my car told me that it was having coolant issues one morning on my way to work.

That same day that my car notified me, my car almost didn't make it to work and I could see smoke coming out of the hood, my car would shake and sputter as I was trying to make it to work. I also noticed my car slowing down as if it was about to die and the car felt heavy underneath, because it was literally stopping but slowly. I parked my car and went to work hoping for the best when I finished my day long shift. After my shift, my car would not turn on. I opened the hood and saw liquid which was coolant.

Fast forward to July 2019, I am having issues with the engine again, it sputters, shakes and rumbles especially when my car is stationery/parked & when I turn off my car, the motor fan is still running to cool off the engine.

Cruze ECO

  • Manual transmission
  • 20,500 miles

This has happened at least 6 times since my owning the vehicle; when I get home turn the car off there is a loud high pitch noise coming from under hood, I have always opened it to inspect what is happening and one time I heard the water lines gurgling, I have a video for the technician so the can see for them selves what I have seen, as always they can never duplicate the problem. I can't believe all the issues my new car has had, I don't have time to take it back for service, and as sated they can never fix the problem because they don't see the problem. Is this just another way of saying yes we know our cars suck but we can't fix it if we deny it. Gosh sakes GM; what is going on.
