I've learned since buying this car that the gas cap is EXTREMELY touchy. If the gas attendant doesn't put it back on JUST RIGHT, then the 'check engine' light comes on followed by a cryptic email from OnStar telling me that "something is wrong with my emissions system" and I should have it checked out right away. Yeah, like I'm going to pay a $60 diagnostic fee at my local dealership just to have them tell me my gas cap was being tweaky. So my 'check engine' light is on pretty much all the time now because it apparently doesn't how anybody puts the gas cap on, even me.
