A/C not blowing cool air. Refrigerant is OK. A/C compressor runs fine.

From just asking the service for free advice and looking around the internet, I think it's the plastic doors that are in the dash. Dealer says this is a problem with 2005 Chevrolet Equinox due to a metal wire that opens and closes the air duct being too short. I'm looking at about $1500 plus because they said they need to tear the dash completely apart to fix.

Why not a recall on this? Pain in my ass. I'll probably just buy a new SUV and pass this to someone in the family. My new one will NOT be another Equinox.

Took car to have the air conditioner looked at and was told had too much freon. That that was the problem. Still not cooling. Took car to have air conditioner looked at again. Was told had too little freon. We added freon. Got in the car going down the road. STILL not cooling.

Car was under warranty. So I figure that's why a faulty compressor was not going to be the diagnosis. Car out of warranty. Not able to have repairs done due to cost.

I just think that when so many people complain about a problem it should be recalled but apparently the big companies can't seem to deal with it properly. I am sick and tired of the bull and they need to get their heads out of their rich ass and fix the problem.

the damn ac doesn't work. now I think it is from the sunroof leaking in to the car. the hose was too short to drain out the water so it was running in the car. I had to get someone to fix it who was smarter than where I bought it from.

The dealer advised they could not find a leak but added freon. Now that the warranty has expired I must add a can of freon when this condition occurs.
