Equinox LT 3.4L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 116,000 miles

Second failure in 2 years, I live on pavement, and never drive off road. This time I will not buy GM replacement parts, since they are junk.

Been clunking since 31000 miles, I just decided to let it ride since it was only mildly annoying.

Equinox GXE

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

My equinox is a 2005 with only 65,000 miles on it when it started with the problem. It rattles on the left front side the least little bump I go over. Going over gravel you might as well forget it!!! It sounds awful!! I've had it checked out with two different mechanics and they tell me the struts are bad, then says it shouldn't need new struts with only 65,000 miles. The cost to have them replaced and a front end allignment is outrageous. Chevrolet needs to have a recall on this problem because it shouldn't have gone bad already.

EVERY SINCE I BOUGHT MY CAR IN AUGUST 2005, I HAVE HAD TO HAVE THE STRUTS REPLACED, THE WIRE FROM THE GAS PEDAL TO THE ENGINE BURNT OUT, THERE WAS A BROKEN HUB IN THE FRONT CAUSING A RUBBING SOUND ON THE TIRES, AND VARIOUS SCREWS HAVE FALLEN OUT IN THE INTERIOR
