The heater and AC don't work unless I am on the freeway going 65 or more and then it will blow out enough for you to feel but not do its job. That's when I put the dial on full blast!

Blower went completely off. Took it to my mechanic, he replaced the blower motor. Less than a week later it stopped working again.

When I first bought my Equinox I thought that I just got another crappy hand-me-down from a second hand dealership. But when I looked farther into the problem I noticed it was frequently happening in the same models. All of a sudden my heater just stopped working (right before winter I might add). When I jumped online to figure out the problem...what's the first thing that pops up, of course the blend door breaking because of cheap plastic clips. OK, now time to figure out a price....hahahahaha, first estimate was $1100.00. So I priced the part needed to be fixed and it was no more than $30. Are you kidding me, what if that happens to someone on a road trip with kids? That I find to be very dangerous and yet with this happening to hundreds of models of Equinox's still no recall.

Another thing that gets me is why there are absolutely no recalls on this model Equinox. Even this ignition switch recall. I can have my SUV running and turn the key to the accessory position and take out my key. In order to turn the key from off to on I have to vigorously jiggle the key in order to even get it into the accessory position. How is it that almost every single GM car has a recall but this one? Has it been overlooked or something? All I can say is I feel awful for the person or people this issue can seriously injure or possibly kill. Although it is bad to say isn't that what it takes in order for anything to be done because some people do not want to own up for a mistake made.

One day my vehicle blower for the A/C and heater stopped working. It was not blowing anything. I was thinking that the blower was bad. But I was told to check the resistor, which is located on the passenger side floor (under the dash way back on the floor). There are wires connected to a resistor that controls the speed of the blower. There are two screws that hold it in, I was told to check the resistor to see if there was any black spots (there was) and was also told to check the connector (which was partially melted). I ordered a resistor and harness connector from the internet.
