I received a letter from Chevrolet stating they were aware this could be a problem part and "Do not take your vehicle to the dealer unless your vehicle has the condition listed" and "If you have paid for the repairs for the condition described in this letter" you can request to be reimbursed. I had the repairs done at the dealership and called the toll free number to begin the reimbursement process. I was notified that because my vin # was not manufactured at a certain plant, Chevrolet would not reimburse me, even though it is clearly the faulty parts they listed in their letter. The same issued faulty parts, just at a different manufacture location, so they will not pay for the damage or parts.
