Equinox LS

  • Automatic transmission
  • 63,000 miles

I had engine/transmission issues with this car for over a year. I took it in to dealer they claim there is nothing

wrong. I took it to a non dealer Mechanic and was told the cylinder 2 misfires, slip in transmission and

he noticed the chugging/hesitation during acceleration. I took it back to the dealer and they of course found

and issue. Transmission was fixed however having slips again. Dealer told me I could do an oil consumption

log and could pay $300 for a "cleaner" .I will not pay for a design flaw in GM engine. I called GM and they noted

this issue however I told her this is a huge safety issue when you are accelerating on the highway and your car does not move. I have a 15 yr old new driver and he is afraid to drive it due to merging on hwy we almost got rear ended due to the car not accelerating.
