Husband just came out of work, started driving when he heard a strange noise coming from the back. Pulled over and looked at the back to discover the rear window had completely exploded. No other damage to the vehicle. Had to pay $250 deductible to have it fixed.

tail gate window exploded

Car sat in the parking lot at work all day. Came out of work, put my stuff in the back seat, shut the door and the back window exploded. There was a large hole right in the middle of the window and shattered glass all over. There was no defects or cracks in the glass.

We bought the car off the dealer new demo with 5,000 miles on it and every time we closed the hatch, glass would appear. We asked for a car fax. No accidents were reported. They vacuumed the glass out twice and never gave us any idea where it was coming from. So we believe that this has happened before and the reason has been kept from us.

We find it strange that all we did was close the back door, and the window blew out.
