brake, tail and turn signals do not operate logically or correctly. other drivers are constantly yelling or notifying me about the lights..."Fix your brake lights! Only your third eye light is working!" "Learn to use your turn signal!" "Turn on your lights!" Usually, if I pull right over and check my lights, I can't see anything wrong, unless I find the wrong lights are lighting up. I have replaced the bulbs (and the aftermarket bulb catalogs have inconsistent bulb numbers, and when I looked the the vans owners manual, I found the bulbs were not the same as were installed?!) I have found that if I brake, the turn signal may not work, or if I turn on the running lights, the brake lights (except the third eye light) don't work. But the symptoms are inconsistent. I've tried swapping the bulbs between the upper and lower positions behind each lens, and did not notice any improvement. I have checked the wires for screws through (as there are 'laborer' cargo liner walls and ceiling installed). I've seen other vans with these light conditions. To me, it appears to be a computer logic problem, but I don't know if the Express van has a little logic box that operates the lights or not. The van is primarily used in daylight, so I am not willing to spend for professional analysis, unless forced to do so because of a citation. As long as the third eye brake light works, I'm OK with that.
