TL-the contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Impala. She received a recall notice in August for NHTSA campaign number: 14V355000 (electrical system). The recall notice indicated that she will be notified when the parts were available. She was concerned that her vehicle could shut off while driving per the recall. The contact would like for the vehicle to be repaired by any dealer in her state. The contact was concerned for her safety since she had to drive the vehicle on a daily basis. The vehicle was purchased six months ago and she was never informed that there was an existing recall. The GM recall number on her notice was 14299. She was expecting someone to assist with the repairs immediately. There are no failures at this time.

My 2013 Chevrolet Impala's electrical system failed. There were no lights, radio, air conditioner, gauge lights, power steering or power brakes. The engine remained running as did the transmission. This lasted about five minutes.(there are no places to stop on our roads.) the first light to come on was the warning about loss of stabilitrac and the second was about air bags, the third was about uneven tire pressure. Eventually the gauge lights, air conditioner and radio came on followed by the power steering and brakes. I turned it off in park and then turned it on again. The stabilitrac and air bag warnings were still on, but the rest of the lighting and electrical seemed to be working. Eventually the stabilitrac and air bag warnings stopped. The next day everything came on as normal. The airbag for the passenger seat never is on since I bought it in January.
