At 3000 miles vehicle began to vibrate when brakes were applied. At 6000 miles dealer replaced brakes due to service bulletin. Vehicle continued to vibrate and would shake to extreme when vehicle was moving fast. Applied brakes, but will not slow down. Vehicle has been taken to dealer on numerous occasions, but dealer has not provided remedy.

Brakes: 1st time they replaced rotor/pad kit at 9066 miles, bad vibration when applying brakes. At present, car has 21000 and they say rotors need resurfaced and want to charge me. I don't think rotors should wear out every 10 to 11,000 miles, mostly highway miles.

While traveling at 65 mi/hr car stope running this happened on 4 separet occasions. I managed to get to the side of th road without being rearended, tried to restart the care only to have it stall again and each of the three times the car was towed to the dealer. The first time they had it 2 days and could not find the problem, the second time they had it 2 days and could not find the problem, the third time they had it 2 days and could not find the problem, this time the fourth time they have had it to date 8 days and still counting. They think it is the fuel pump regulator. I think I want them to keep this car. Each time this has happened I have been in rush hour traffic. I feel as if my luck may run out soon. Could you please help us to get out of this car and into another. Also the brakes and rotors have been replaced 3 times. The heating and airconditioning system has also been replaced. I'm making carpayments on a new car and feel like I'm driving a junk.

Brakes and rotors were replaced the first time at 14,614 miles with GM's "new design". then again 5 months later, at 22,679 miles. The dealership admitted that GMC has a problem with these and has yet to resolve the problem. I was told that it will very likely occur again. I was also told that they did replace this free of charge twice already now, and so the next time I would have to pay. I do not understand why GM continues to sell a known defected product, and surely I'm not expected to repeatedly replace the brakes as the dealership says.

Problem with front rotors are well documented, in my case about every 8500 mile, I dont agree on Chevrolet statement, which is wear and tear.the manufacturer new car warranty on brakes is 12.000.I tried my best to cummunicate with out any positive results.this product which is my car developed a major safety issue, which to stall at high speed, no power brakes or steering and will not start up again.could cause a pile up.was in shop 4 times and dealer said nothing is wrong, told us to remove car from lot 18 miles down the road it tied, and it took 20 days to finnally fix it, dealer received tbs fuel strainer has production flaws.I hope that persons dont have to die, just to look in to the rotor issue, I did wrote before and was never contacted, perhaps it was ingnored.I hope this will not.it be a sad situation, not to hear a cry for everybody who has to pay for brakes.thank you in advance.

The front brake rotors (rotors warped) and pads have been replaced 5 times now but dealer cannot find the problem. The area service manager for chervolet seems to think that "the brakes are not a safety issue". I think differently. The front of the car starts shaking and the steering wheel starts shaking (worse then it normally does), I have also heard clicking noises when I apply the brakes.

I have had the same issue with my brake system and have had my front rotors and pads replaced 4 times - I have only had the car for a year. They tell me this a problem with Malibu's and place new parts on my car but after a few months the problem re-occurs. I get a pulsation/vibration when I brake at highway speeds and from time to time my brake pedal goes all the way to the floor. Each time they say my rotors are warped and replace them.

The dealer replaced my rotors 3 times and replaced my pads once which was on my last brake replacement visit around 3 months ago... no problems so far. I also complained to the dealer about the vehicle jerking, I got a follow up call from a foreman and the guy who installed my dashboard asking about the car overall, I told him about the car jerking he asked what kind of gasoline do I use, I told I only had 3 fillups since I bought the car and I used bp oil....he told me to use shell gasoline, it did help the problem but the problem never went away..... also in the mornings when the car is cold, I start my car and I hear all kinds of clicking and ticking noises from the engine.......the car surges and has completly cut off on me twice within the past year and it do idled very very low sometimes..........Chevrolet also did a very poor job with the paint on my car under the doors and hood there is some spots were there is no paint at all.....the dealer offerd to have those spots touched up but it has to go to the body shop for a few days........... general motor needs to recall the engines on those cars because something is wrong.

Brakes made excessive loud banging and grinding noise when applied at 10 to 15 miles per hour. This happen twice in a row. Had car towed to dealer as I considered it unsafe to drive. Dealer reports that they are not able to duplicate the failure and that brakes were operating to GM standards. This car has had the brakes and rotors replaced twice in the past six months.

I have brought my car back to the dealership twice, and twice I have left disappointed. Both times, I was reassured that nothing was wrong with my car, though my front brakes vibrate constantly. I was told earlier this year that the 2000 model of my car had brake defects, but have not been able to find any information to back this story. I am truly concerned for my welfare, especially since I commute to work daily approximately 33 miles each way. I have felt put off by the dealership because I am a female, and obviously "don't know much about cars". I have purchased 2 others cars from this dealership, and had no major problems. This time, I received poor service, and now, a potential lemon. Please help if you can. I have contacted my local dcp, but was told I could not do anything about the car without having it serviced at least 4 times. I feel that's too many times to risk my life.
