The paint GM is using is absolute garbage, the 1st week of owning the car i noticed 3 paint chips on the hood. After driving the vehicle for a year the car was covered with chips, I took it into the dealership and they looked at it but said GM would not cover it. The car now has chips on every panel of the vehicle. I have been a life long GM buyer but next time around I will be looking at other manufacturers.

WENT TO THE CHEVY GARAGE WHERE PURCHASED LAST YEAR TO SHOW THEM THE PAINT PEELING OFF THE BOTTOM OF DOOR AND THEIR COMMENT WAS WHEN CHIPS OCCUR PAINT ALWAYS PEELS OFF. ALTHOUGH WHEN HE LOOKED AT THE CAR THERE WAS NO CHIPS ON THE CAR. I TAKE REALLY GOOD CARE OF IT. THEY SAID AT THEIR CONVENIENCE THEY WILL FIX IT BUT I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM AND THE RUSTING IS GETTING WORSE ON A NEW CAR.

Whatever clear coat GM is using is absolute garbage. I would say bad luck would be a paint chip or 2 in 4k miles, but 10 is ridiculous!!!!

Came to know on first 1000km checkup under Warranty, that the body paint is done at Sub-Standard Plant at South Korea...
