This is the second windshield i have had in this car in 2 months. First one cracked on my way to work one morning, no gravel trucks were to be seen in my immediate area. Windshield had one chip and one long crack. After replacing it with a new piece of GM glass from the dealer, 1 month later I have at least 6 spots on the exterior of either a chip and crack or just chips. When the chip occurs, I hear only the sound of the glass cracking. I do not see any rocks, although I presume that there was a very small pebble that I hit. Problem is that I have never had a chipped or cracked windshield in 25 years of driving. As soon as I get this brand new car, I have been getting chips and cracks. My driving habits have not changed, nor has my route to/from work. I believe this is a design flaw as the windshield should not be taking on this kind of damage with so little effort. Paint does not have any signs of rock damage, yet windshield does.

If I would have known I would get new chips and crack on a weekly basis with this car, I would never have traded in my old one.
