Re: 14350 unintended ignition key rotation. I have tried 3 separate times, over the past year, to have this taken care of by calling crippen auto, lansing, mi. The first time I did not have the VIN number. Ok. the next three times I was sent to service voice mail. I have left a message each time regarding this recall. Not once has anyone returned my call. Today my husband is physically going down there to try and get a service appointment. I am tired of trying to deal with this dealership.

While driving approximately 40 mph in congested traffic, the engine stopped and security and maintenance lights came on. Vehicle restarted after setting a few minutes. This happened several times. Received a recall letter and took it to the nearest dealership. 2 days later vehicle started shutting off when the turn signal was used. Now at times it wont start. Contacted dealership to find out if the recalled part could be the problem and was rudely brushed off. Problem still not fixed.

So when we went to start the car, the car would not start we replaced the battery then we replaced the alternator. After looking some stuff up online we realized that it was neither of these things it was actually the passlock security. It is now locked us out and we cannot get the car started unless we go and have a whole new ignition tumbler keys and I believe it is the BCM reprogrammed. This is obviously a malfunction in the car and I don't believe that I should have to pay $300 for a malfunction I don't know if you all can help me but anything at this point in time would be helpful

Had to charge battery so I could take car in for ignition recall. Since I don't use the car much anymore. Upon trying to start vehicle, engine backfired and upper intake manifold exploded and pieces all over the driveway. This is the same issue as described in the 2004 recall which was performed on the fuel pressure regulator. Since the recall. I did have to replace the fuel pressure regulator again around 2011. I also had replaced the upper and lower intake gaskets that were faulty oem parts. The upper plastic manifold was replaced to the newer design. Although it being plastic is just an engineering catastrophe still doesn't solve the problem with warping from heat. Anyway. Here's my diagnosis. Fuel injectors continued to spray fuel into engine after the first attempt of starting vehicle caused by a weak battery. I say this because after turning the key off after the first attempt I heard the fuel pumping for at least 10 seconds. This is not normal. After 1 minute I tried to restart and thats when parts started flying. Good thing no helpers had their heads under the hood when this happened.

This vehicle kept cutting off on me while going 55 mph down the road. I took it to hubert vester Chevrolet and they could find nothing wrong. They replaced the switch at a cost of $388.98 invoice no 73404C this still did not fix my vehicle. To this day it is still cutting off while going down the road at 55 mph I am scared to drive but could not sell it for this reason. I have had the car all this time and now find out that it has this recall for cutting off while going down the road. I would like a refund of my money as they did not fix my vehicle.

After I contacted the dealer, the appointment was made to repair all recall issues. Received notification that all parts were at the dealership. Once I arrived at the dealer, was told it would be a three hour wait. Drove approx. 100 miles to dealer (bill gatton Chevrolet-Cadillac). One recall issue was resolved, resulting in another appointment to be made when other parts arrived. No precautions were made to ensure vehicle protected against service department injury to vehicle, ie, no paper mats placed in car, dirt inside car, and keys left in the vehicle on the dealer lot. This vehicle has been maintained in a pristine condition, (51,000 actual miles). Has never been driven on salt or under any bad weather conditions. The dealer even commented that the vehicle appeared to be brand new. I would welcome a customer satisfaction survey for this dealership.

Car shuts off while driving down the road, we will put the flashers on and put car in neutral and try to restart sometimes it will sometimes not. We will try to get far enough off the road and continue to try an restart, sometimes car has to sit about 10 minutes before starting.. the intake has exploded on me while sitting in the driveway....my biggest concern is my family, husband son an myself is going to be badly hurt or killed in this car.. I seen on tv that there is lawsuits being filed for faulty ignitions and intakes exploding I would very much like to hear from someone about the recalls to have this car fixed.. this is on going about the car shutting itself off an dying. Everytime we leave in this car it does it while were out.
