My instrument Panel is flashing Engine Hot A/C off. It just started this yesterday. We have checked the Water/Antifreeze and all of it is fine. We replaced the water pump a few months back. Anyone have any idea what this could be?

Monte Carlo LT 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

As im driving my new monte carlo the auto head lights will flash on and off frantically and will not stop unless i manually turn the head lights on, my service traction control, air bag, check engine and tighten gas cap lights are going on and off constantly and the dinging is driving me nuts. sometimes the dinging wont stop until the car shuts off. I have had to pull the fuse for the interior gauges and lights just to make the dinging to stop. this is ridiculous for any car with 30,000 miles on it. plus the heater only works when you are accellerating, at idle it instantly turns cold and the windshield fogs up and freezes this car is a piece of junk ill never own another chevy again. it is literally unsafe to drive and i bought new to not have to worry about problems like this yeah that worked out.

Remote would not work 10 feet away. Took it back to dealer 4 times before it got repaired by putting in a new receiver. Also the same type problem with Tire monitor sensors the left rear would intermittently give zero pressure it took three times before the dealer finally ordered a new sensor this repaired the problem. but during the process of getting the remote receiver changed the dealer broke a clip that holds the dash together and did not tell me. Had to take it back and got treated as if I had broke it, still awaiting for the part. The Satallite receiver looses reception intermittently even on a clear day with no clouds haven resolved this with the dealer yet still trying to figure if it is the radio or the antenna, it seams that the dealer needs to know or they can't figure what the problem is.

NOW I HAVE MY CAR AT A DIFFERENT DEALER SHIP AND THE POWER STEERING LINES ARE BAD, AND THEY FIND THAT THE "AC OFF/ ENGINE HOT" MESSAGE HAS TO DO WITH THE REMOTE NOT WORKING WHICH HAS TO DO WITH A BAD RECIEVER OF SOME SORT WHICH INTURN CAUSED NONE OF MY LOW PRESSURE LIGHTS TO WARN WHEN SOMETHINGS WRONG WHICH HAS CAUSED THEM TO GIVE ME A RENT A CAR FOR THE LAST THREE DAYS BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IS GOING ON AND THEY HAD TO CALL A TECHNICIAN FROM MICHIGAN TO "TRY" TO FIGURE IT OUT. HOW ABOUT JUST BURNING THE PIECE OF SH*T AND CALL IT A DAY. i BOUGHT THIS CAR BECAUSE IT WAS CERTIFIED USED AND THIS IS WHAT I GET. OH YEAH THE SECOND DAY I HAD IT A WHEEL BEARING WENT ON IT. SHOULD OF KEPT THE VW JETTA!!!!!!

Monte Carlo LX 3.6 V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10,000 miles

I hope that this issue gets recorded, The dealership still thinks it's me. I don't like having to take this vehicle back for the fourth time to fix what was suppose to be fixed. I'm sick of being told that the remote is working fine when I have to get 10 meters from my car, sometimes closer just to activate it. Its a brand new vehicle practically. I really like the car, but I'm sick of headaches of having a brand new car, and being in the shop so much of the time. Auto beef is awesome, I doubt anything will change, but at least I got a place to vent out.
