While driving the spare tire cable sheared off, resulting in the loss of the spare tire. Consumer was able to maintain control of the vehicle and drove it to the dealer for inspection. Mechanic determined that the cable and racket was a set and needed replacement. Consumer informed the mechanic that a recall was not for this vehicle. And as a consumer the payment should rendered on the dealer, not on the consumer.
