Consumer states while driving in the rain the windsheild whiper shut off while in use almost causing an accident. Contacted dealer. This is a common problem.

Windshield wipers fail to work when needed (driving in the rain). First noticed this problem about a year ago and wipers fail to work more often recently. When wipers fail to work I have to attempt to pull over and assist the wipers to get them going. Sometimes this involves opening the hood and tapping on the wiper motor, other times I gently assist the wiper arm. When approaching sudden down pours this problem could increase the chance of an accident due to poor visibility. I noticed that their is a recall for earlier models (NHTSA campaign number: 98V150001) with the same symptoms as I am seeing. Please advise.

Cruise control does not work at all. Not repaired. Backup lights(bulbs and fuses good) not working. Not repaired. We can only afford to repair the items that have to be repaired.

Windshield wipers are more intermittent than they should be. Most of the time don't work at all, however if you keep trying to turn them on, maybe they'll work 7 maybe they won't. can't depend on the wiper operation. Checked dealer for recall and none for this model. Why not?

Consumer stateshe contacted three dealers for the part, two of them stated the parts were on back oder, consumer was told by manufacturer that becuase his vehicle was bilt at a certain plant, there is no recall, however there are recalls for the part but vehicle had to built at a certain plant in oder for recall to apply to consumer's vehicle.
