S-10 Pickup

  • Manual transmission
  • 97,000 miles

Alternator failed without warning while driving, first lost headlights, then the speedometer and all the gauges died within 60 seconds, then no electronics at all, the indicators did not work, the brake lights did not work, the hazard lights did not work but the car still drove. Pulled up to a traffic light and the car shut off and died once the rpm dropped below about 2000. Was unable to use hazards to tell other drivers I was broken down, and didn't have brake lights while I slowed down which seemed very dangerous
