S-10 Pickup 6-cyl

  • Automatic transmission

Front passenger side seatbelt, it locks up but will not unlock unless you unbuckle it. It has to be unlocked and brought all the way back before it will unlock. I have had it replaced at least three times and it still does not work correctly.

Received recall notice 00V228003 in mail, and took vehicle to dealership. Repairs not done due to no appointment. Made an appointment, and came back on that date. Was informed by service manager that no parts were available for seat belt buckles. Contacted manufacturer, who indicated parts only sent if vehicle required it after being inspected by mechanic.

Gas pedal stuck and brakes were hard to press when trying to slow down. This caused consumer to hit a tree. Also, airbags did not deploy, and drivers side seat belt did not properly restrain. It did not lock into position, causing consumer to sustain a head injury. Dealer has not been able to duplicate the problem.
