I have just read that GM has a recall on pu trucks because of defects to the tailgate support cables. The recall only indicates "large" pu trucks are included. I have a 2001 S-10 Chevrolet "small" pick up and the same thing has happen to my vehicle. Both cables have rusted through. I went to the Chevrolet dealership recently and they indicated that the parts alone would cost nearly $ 200. If my vehicle is not included in the recall, I feel that it should be. Thank you.
