The airbag warning light came on in the car and I took it in for service as soon as an appointment became available. After a few hours of diagnosis, Chevrolet service determined there was a loose wire and it was repaired. The problem was that my car was out of service for two days while the issue was being diagnosed and I had to pay for the repair. I think this type of safety repair should be covered by the manufacturer exclusive of the warranty period.

On 08/18/2017, both the driver and passenger side-impact airbags, along with the seat belt pretension systems, deployed unexpectedly while entering a highway. No collision occurred.
