Silverado LT 5.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 103,000 miles

My drivers side window stopped working for the second time. My passenger side window stopped working one time. The left and right windows were covered under warranty the first time. At 103K the drivers window is way out of warranty and the repair will be on me.

I really like the vehicle but from what I have read on the GM truck products in this era the design of the lifting mechanism is crappy.

Silverado 1500 5.3L V8

  • Automatic transmission

I had just bought the truck about 6 months before new. All of a sudden my window doesn't want to go back up. Took it back to the dealer and they replaced the windows electric motor. Haven't had a problem with it since.
