The brake lines rusted, and brake fluid spilled on the floor while vehicle was parked in the garage. The brake line was discovered to be corroded and the parking brake did not work. The consumer stepped on the brake pedal to put the vehicle into drive when the brake pedal hit the floor. The consumer then hit the parking brake which also hit the floor. The corroded lines leaked between the master cylinder and the ABS unit. The consumer has the corroded lines in his possession.

Consumer received recall 00 X 001 000 concerning brake hose failure. Consumer was concerned that the brake hose erupted while driving and rust build up on both front rotors. Vehicle was hard to stop when coming off a small incline. All four brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced due to rust.

The brake line located on the outside of the frame rusted. The line was covered with a thin spring, and any time it rained or the vehicle went through water, the spring held water right next to the line, causing the line to rust. The dealer replaced the brake line at the expense of the consumer.

Consumer is not satisfied with recall (C00093-S) consumer does not think that any repairs were performed on vehicle, consumer states dealer refused to show him what was done, dealer showed consumer a schematic drawing of the bracket used and its location, except what he showed consumer had nothing to do with his vehicle, consumer states his vehicle has a totally different set up from what he was shown, consumer contacted manufacturer and was advised they did not have a schematic drawing of the bracket and its location.
