Silverado LS 5.3L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 70,000 miles

I had taken the truck in several times and after the 4th steering rack and a synthetic power steering fluid GM told the dealership to stop trying to repair it. They said that there was nothing wrong with it. I had asked repeatedly to check the steering pump and they said there was nothing wrong with that either. I am an aircraft mechanic not a car mechanic. But I think that you can apply the same kind of theory of operation to some things. If you replace one part several times with the same thing happening it is time to try and find out what else it is.
