This is the third time I have had my vehicle in to repair the Bluetooth. The issues vary from mostly it does not understand me and yes I speak English and do not have an accent. As I left the dealership I attempted to call my nephew who was with me in the vehicle. (btw he got a good laugh out of it) His name is Dan so I said call Dan on cell. so it says ok calling Deanna. I hang up and try again and it says ok calling Dr. xxx so I hang up again and try saying Call Dan on Mobile and it says Pardon? try again and it says Pardon? by this time Dan is rolling with laughter and I am pissed because I am on my way home from picking it up from repairs for the blue tooth. Is there a secret to getting this POS to understand English. No offence to any non English speaking people. I am very frustrated. My husband drives a ford and he has no issues with his. I also have an issue with people understanding me when I do get contact with them.

On the first visit they replaced the Bluetooth

On the second visit they moved a piece of insulation that was blocking the Bluetooth.

This visit they were unable to duplicate the issue and said its probably a signal issue. urr.

Silverado 1500 LTZ 5.3L AV8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 4,200 miles

Bluetooth paired to iPhone6. Within the last month, after I hang up from a call, the truck tries to play music from phone. Won't go back to playing the radio anymore. I have to manually disconnect phone & put the radio on.

Dealer said they know this is a problem, that I should un-pair and re-pair my phone to see if that fixes the problem.

Since day one of buying this truck the blue tooth has giving many problems. it will not notify you of any text messages or emails coming in while connected to the Bluetooth. Audio is also poor & get many complaints from callers saying they can't understand what I'm saying. Also, when you make or receive a phone call & finish the call, the radio display doesn't go back to showing the radio station info, stays on the last phone call made. I get messages constantly about keeping my eyes on the road, other warnings for no reason. The Bluetooth system in this truck sucks. Never had this problem in my 2011 GMC truck....

Dealer says they have no update from GM & have flashed the software, but no help. Going back to dealer for 3rd time next week...Many people I've talked to have had these same issues, but don't find them on this site...
