I was driving and was making a left hand turn when my steering locked up and straightened out my wheels witch made my truck drive forward for a second and then it stopped and allowed me to continue my turn. A few days after this happened I was driving over a bumpy road and it did it again and a bell started ringing and a power steering message came on my dash and it persisted for about 10 minutes and I haven't drove my truck since

While driving, the radio and all other electric components will go dark or quit working altogether, including the ac blower, compressor, headlights, etc. Sometime I get the stabilitrack alert with 3 or 4 tones, which resets automatically. When waiting in a drive through line today, when I depress the brake pedal, it happens again. While waiting in line, I sometimes put the transmission in park. When I depress the brake, and move the transmission control into drive, it happens, and more frequently, the engine shuts off. When turning the wheel, the power steering seems to go out, making it almost impossible to turn the vehicle, all the while the stabilitrack alarm goes off, the headlights go dark, the ac shuts down, the dash display goes dark, the door locks cycle up and down, and the engine shuts down. Today, it almost caused me not to negotiate turning from a major road into a parking lot. I lost all power to the steering, the engine shut down, and my brakes were non-existent. After reading other complaints on here, I decided I needed to tell my story. I received the recall notices, and have not ventured to the dealership for repairs, fearing exposure to the covid-19 virus. After reading everyone else's problems, and hearing that even the recall repairs do not fix the problem, I cannot help but wonder if there is more going on here than GM is willing to admit. I will not let my wife drive this vehicle, because if it happens to her, there is no way she can maneuver a stalled vehicle with no power steering and no brakes. So it looks I have the same story as others, and no real solution to my problem that the dealerships are willing to fix, or even admitting that there is a problem.

Headlights flickering when on. While in motion my stabilitrack light illuminates along with the seatbelt light. When using the turn signal the radio display goes out for about a second and turns back on. When braking the radio display goes off for a second. I get a low battery signal maybe 2 or 3 times a week, I drive my truck daily. It has 76K miles. I lose power steering after about 150 mile drive. Its been happening for about 3-4 months. 4/22/2019 was the worst. All of it happened yesterday on a 175 mile drive

When driving on a city street at about approximately 30mph, all electrical systems suddenly died and vehicle shut down. Coasted to a stop without power brakes or steering control, almost causing an accident. Turned off and on ignition and computer system had me "turn on and off driver window'. also reference a few other electrical systems errors that cleared after once again starting vehicle. During the resulting 20 minute drive home, electrical system showed a few errors, once when initiating a turn signal and headlights flickered but car did not suddenly die. Next day it is now running okay so far. Researching this sudden electrical and total system shutdown online I found numerous issues with 2014/2015 Silverado models from others. Discussed with local dealership service department and found they have seen other customers locally with this intermittent issue and have been unable to find or fix the problem.

My truck was recalled I received a call from my dealer about the recall. I took my truck to Decatur james woods Chevrolet which performed a recall on the eps module for a steering recall. Note prior to me taking my vehicle in I had no problems or issues. I take my truck in for documented oil changes and scheduled maintenance. Once they did the recall flash update reprogramming I picked up my truck and on the way home the dash lights blinked off the stabilitrac error and tow haul error both came up. I called the service dept immediately on the way using hands free system and the service advisor told me the recall couldn't cause that. On the road to my house the steering wheel jerked out of my hands light sprain to my wrist and almost took me off the road as the brakes also failed to work very well. The truck died to a stop. When I restarted it showed no errors and all worked again. The next morning when started it displayed a calibration error and had me open and close my driver window. When driving to my dealership jerry's Chevy it blinked the dash again when I used my blinker to change lanes. The power and RPM where all over the place and running very rough. When I got to jerry's they basically told me they couldn't touch it and take the liability and to take it back to Decatur they had messed something up. Next morning to to local mechanic we have used they put computer diagnostic on it and showed all kinds of errors as we test drove while hooked up. He said the recall program has evidently caused communication issues to other modules and can tear up the truck. I took it back to Decatur they said they couldn't get to it and to come back the next day. I dropped it off truck still having issues and running and sounding worse and losing power and voltage gauge dropping and going back to normal. Safety concern for myself and others on road due to this recall flash.

My 2015 Chevrolet Silverado crewcab ld has a very dangerous steering issue. The problem is the steering system fully gives out making it impossible to turn the wheel and sometimes the wheels jerks back approximately 1/4 turn. GM has recalled trucks for this issue on all Silverado models 2014/15 except the 2015 crew cab. This is a very dangerous issue. The truck only has 36,251 miles and is taken care of to the fullest per manufacturers guidelines. This is a very dangerous issue and it seems that GM has admitted it and recalled many vehicles outside the trucks as well for the same problem, hopefully they will do the right thing and make a recall for all affected models before someone gets seriously hurt.

2015 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3L 4X4 (48,000 miles). While driving last night I was U-turning at a major intersection when the truck lost all power, then flashed "stabilitrak" on the dash, and jerked the steering wheel out of my hand. Should there have been someone coming the other direction there surly would have a major head on collision. I pulled into a parking lot after re-firing the truck and tried some low speed sharp turns and sure enough the same issue. Flickering power, "stabilitrak" flashing on dash, and steering wheel jerked out of my hand. When I say steering jerked its not as if I just lost power steering, the wheel will actually jerk as if its trying to get back to center on its own. I left the truck over night and went back this morning to have someone follow me home. This is a major safety issue. There is no issued recall for my VIN. I've found hundreds of stories and videos on the internet very similar to mine for this same issue. There are some recalls for other model years that sound like they are aimed at the problem but not for my model/year and everyone I've found that has had the recalls for steering and voltage issues says that the problem continues. Its terrifying thinking that im driving a 6,000lbs mass that can shut off and steer itself out of no where. Ridiculous that this has not been resolved or even acknowledged by GM!

While parked over night in the garage the sabilitrak light was on and service trailer system. Truck wouldn't start so I jump stared he truck. That worked twice though out the day and on my last drive while I was reversing the steering wheel was pulled from my hand and the 'stabilitrak' light came on! finally while parked before my truck engine wouldn't turn over the 'stabilitrak' light came on again and 'service trailer system' I've never used my trailer system. My truck wouldn't even turn over 'crank'. I had to tow my truck home and I'm just happy that the steering wheel wasn't pulled from my hand with my two kids with me in the road!

I'm having issues with my Chevy Silverado dying out while driving when I'm making turns that will cause the truck to have error messages popping up with regards to the stable trac sensor, the airbag light coming on, the radio going in and out, and the ac going out/coming back on. While backing up the truck is locking up on me, and the steering wheel is jerking out of my hands, which will dye out as well. When I go to start it back up the truck then gives me an error message of roll down the drivers side window that you have to do in order to clear it out. I've currently had this at the Chevy dealership the past 6 months without them being able to fix this numerous times.
