Truck only having 30,000 miles and garage kept has considerable rusting on frame memebers as well as cross members on the frame.. There is no paint on the frame or cross memebers just a wildly flaking black wax coating. After two years when in for service the dealer stated that this was "Normal" for this model. Two shops that have inspected the frame are conserned about the amount of rust and any towning I may do in the future. At this point I only tow a small ATV trailer during the summer months.

The contact owned a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while towing a trailer and driving approximately 50 MPH, the vehicle started to fishtail. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact attempted to mitigate the failure by letting up off the accelerator pedal and then gently depressing the brake pedal however, the actions failed to correct the failure and got worse. The contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the center median metal guard rail on the passenger-€™s side front and rear of the vehicle with the trailer compressed against the rear of the vehicle. The contact stated that the Anti-Sway feature failed to operate as designed. A police report was filed. There was no injury sustained. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The insurance company deemed the vehicle a total loss. The vehicle was not diagnosed. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 103,000. The vehicle was destroyed.

Front suspension noise - during cold weather and when first driving within the first 1/2 mile, a loud noise comes from the front suspension after driving over a bump or speed bump. This only happened when very cold and within the first 1/2 mile. Brought the vehicle to the dealer at 35000 miles (koons Chevrolet, tysons corner, va) and under warranty they re-torqued the front frame cross member and lower control arms. I actually could not believe that Chevrolet and the dealer stated that was the problem. In all my years repairing cars, I have never heard of a "frame cross member" requiring re-torqueing especially on a new vehicle. If it was loose along with the lower control arms, that would indicate a serious problem. Problem was not resolved. 6 months later when cold again, brought the truck to the dealer and they now state that "the sway bar bushings required lubrication". again, I have never heard of a rubber bushing requiring lubrication. Immediately after taking the truck from the dealer, I took pictures of the sway bar bushings sowing all the lubricant oozing out. I have addressed this issue with GM and they have been non-responsive. My concern is with all the vibrations that these trucks have reported, the life cycle of the front sway bar bushings will be reduced and could have a serious detrimental affect during a crash as the vehicle gets older. I was told there is no GM service bulletin on the issue. The dealer just wants the problem to go away and not see the truck again. GM needs to address this issue properly from a technical point of view from their engineers.

Whenevr I back the truck up at slow speeds, the brakes temporarily fail for approximately 1-3 feet. Coming to a stop at slow speeds can also cause the truck to take extra distance to stop. I have changed to new brake pads, turned the rotors, and purchased new tires. The truck bounces severely when traveling at speeds over 50 mph on concrete roads. Only on concrete. Asphalt has normal ride as soon as the road transitions then the truck bounces.

Ever since I bought the vehicle I've noticed a ruff ride. It feels like it's coming from rear end. I hit a slight bump on road while driving and it bounces and vibrates roughly. Took it back to dealership a month or so after buying it and was told my tires where not balanced, so they balanced them and still came out the same. Decided to get a second opinion months later and was told it had weak shocks in front so they changed those out. Still nothing had changed. So returned it to the same dealership a week later and they then did the rear shocks mentioning they were in weak condition. Still no change. At that time my vehicle was under factory warranty so I guess they troubleshoot the cheapest way just to get the customer out of their and save money on their end. Now that my warranty is just over I called the dealership and they are giving me options I should have been told when my warranty was in effect.

The truck shakes at speeds of from 35 mph, then it stops and when driving on the highway at speeds between 60 and 70 on the thruway it shakes again. The vibration is transferred through the gas pedel and into the seats and console. Also when brakeing it shakes. Its been in for service several times for this since I bought it. Also the voltage meter drops and I lose dash board lights.this happens while the vehicle was in motion on both city and highway driving. I'm tired of loseing valuable days off to drive up to denooyer Chevy in albany to have them look at this again. The truck travels straight and true but shakes at those speeds, sometime it makes a drowning sound as it happens.its in the front end part of the suspension I believe. The tires were all high speed balanced and air is perfect in all 4 tires. Has anyone experienced this?

Since I bought the truck new I have been experiencing vibration in steering and cab of truck. Been in the dealer 5 times for this problem. Repairs included 14 set of tires, balance drive shaft, replaced ring and pinion in differential, installed hydraulic bushings in steering rack. The truck still vibrates. This is a concern in safety if you dont know what the problem is how can you say its not a safety issue. Very displeased with General Motors. There is alot of complaints about this issue and should be looked at more carefully

I bought a GM certified Silverado with 20000 mile on it. And the idle vibration and drive vibration are so bad it gives me headaches after driving for any period over an hour. The dealer says this is normal and they are nuts if this is normal. I have contacted Chevrolet. But after researching online, there does not seem to be a fix. My truck is unsafe! Chevrolet needs you fix these problems.

At highway speeds between 58 and 74 mph, there is a vibration that shakes the truck. My first trip to the dealership, they said 3 of the 4 tires needed to be replace, which was covered under warranty. The truck had approximately 3500 miles, when I took it the first time. The problem was stable for a few thousand miles, and then started to get bad, I called and scheduled an appointment, and the truck has been at the dealership for over a week now, and they have replace the one tire that wasn't orginally replaced. They also said they are looking at the exhaust system.

While in motion, I've noticed a shaking coming from the rear end of my 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 double cab. My truck sits on factory 20 inch rims. I've had the wheels balanced when I replaced the tires. Shaking continues. Shaking more noticeable after reaching speeds of 60 M.P.H. and above. I've been told by the service manager of the dealer I purchased the truck from that it is a known issue but there is no fix or solution. The shaking first started after the truck reached 10,000 miles and has not gotten any better in the past 5,500 miles. The problem is persisting and possibly getting worse.

Truck began to have the Chevy shakes about the 12K mile point and has increasingly gotten worse the more mileage the truck gains ( currently 14K miles) I have called and talked to technicians about this and they ensured me that its normal. I've owned several trucks and I have never not been able to go over speeds of 55 without having terrible shakes and wobbles in my truck. Chevrolet needs to address this properly and fix the issue or buy back the trucks that are affected by this issue, when a person spends 50K + on a vehicle this should be the last thing the should have to worry about is feeling safe in their vehicle. I will never buy another Chevrolet product again due to not only this but a number of other issues I have with the truck including hard shifting and extreme lack of power.
