I purchased a certified pre-owned 2017 Chevy Silverado on February 1st of this year, and over the last 4 months have put only 5,000 miles on it. On June 20th, on my way back from a 10-hour trip, where I was towing a trailer with a car on it, my trailer brakes suddenly stopped functioning (about 4 hours from home). Not only did the trailer brakes stop functioning, but a warning message popped up on the dashboard "service trailer brake system". But this warning message didn't pop up just one time, it kept coming again and again and again and again and again, relentlessly chiming and distracting me from driving, it covered my speedometer readout, it prevented me from receiving or making voice commands, prevented me from hearing phone calls, and prevented me from listening to music. The service warning chime also prevented the turn signal chime from functioning. So for a full 4 hours, I was constantly reminded with a service trailer brake system chime, was unable to hear my turn signal chime, was unable to listen to music or make a phone call, and was unable to see the digital readout of my speed. The vehicle had been rendered completely undrivable, and I absolutely will not hesitate to say that the vehicle was not safe to drive in that condition. Especially if you consider that I was towing 5,000 lbs with no working trailer brakes. GM's defective wire harness endangered my life. Consumer stated wire harness has not been replaced and manufacture refused to honor CPO warranty.

Hi, My company purchased this truck brand new. Since the 1st I time drove it I realized that I can easily smell the pollution on the out side, inside the truck. Even with windows up and Air Condition on cabin air recirculate mode. This is a problem I did not have on my 2000 Silverado 1500 model. The pollution from other vehicles in front of my truck would be sucked right into my truck and into my lungs. So every time I would get behind a smokey truck or near it, a few cars behind, I would have to open the windows to get that air out and if iI was stuck behind that truck then the smell was not going anywhere. I will be very happy to see this addressed. I see this as a major issue with this truck. Please help.

The vehicle throws the check engine light randomly (avg once every 2 months). It occurs around 65 mph (interstate) which, leads me to believe it is a misfire on one of the cylinders. I have had it to the dealership and a diagnostic complete. Spark plugs were changed and they said it fixed the issue; yet it has not fixed the issue. I notice no power loss when it comes on (blinks). This light blinks roughly 30-45 seconds and goes off.

Wifi will continue to work for other devices. Voice commands work 80%ish of the time.

As I was driving on a city street high speed limit all the sudden all the warning dash lights came on although the engine is running, I didn't understand it tried to slow down and had to apply a lot of pressure to the brake pedal. I did not understand it. When I stopped the lights went out. I turned off the vehicle with the key and started it again. I was towing my travel trailer and the brakes failed, I totaled the camper in front of me.the notification letter from GM said even in the hard pedal situation the brakes are still in safety specs, not with a 7,000 lb trailer behind the truck.I feel GM should cover the costs of damage and update the latest notification letter to include letting the people who tow know they aren't going to stop in time. Also GM pulled the data from my truck, the airbags did not deploy, and didn't inspect the vacuum pump or the hood, bumper, grill or fenders all were thrown away.
