I was driving on Interstate 15 northbound on March 6th, 2023. I was driving 70 mph, my truck dash had a message come on that said Stabilitrak needs service. Once this came on the truck dropped down to 45 mph during rush hour traffic. My truck is currently at Young Chevrolet in Layton, Utah because this happened again last week on Monday April 3rd, 2023. The Stabilitrak message came on and then my PRNDML indicator disappeared. I could not get the truck to go into any gear besides neutral and drive. I had to shut the truck off, wait then restart it. This happened when I was trying to back the truck up into my driveway and I was almost hit by another vehicle. The technician at Young chevrolet said my TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE WAS BAD, from my own research of online forums and social media pages, there are numerous others with the same exact problem. Others have gone months to almost a year without their trucks back on the road and GMC and Chevrolet do not have a replacement part, nor can they make any repairs to this module. Some have been told by the end of april they will have replacements, others have been told July-October of this year. This affects model trucks 2500HD and 3500HD years 2009-2015. This HAS TO BE A RECALL AND GMC/CHEVROLET/ACDELCO NEED TO REMEDY THIS PROBLEM ASAP.

While pulling my camper trailer the brake controller failed. It would turn on an alarm (visually) and ring an audio alarm. Every time it would come on, I would stop on the highway and recheck the trailer connection and that was Ok. Every time that I get this alarm, I have no trailer brakes. This has happened for the last 3 years. This happens at any speed and in any road conditions and weather. My trailer is 9000# and without brakes it could be dangerous to stop. especially in an emergency situation. My dealer says it can't find anything wrong with the truck. I went on line to find some solutions to the problem and found out that this is quite common. People were saying that we should report this, so here it is. I have replaced the plug on the trailer and the truck with no luck. The dealer is presently replacing the TRAILER BRAKE MODULE. Thats about $1000. I think it should be fixed for free.

I was driving my 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and towing my thirty foot travel trailer I suddenly received a banner on the center of my dash to "SERVICE TRAILER BRAKING SYSTEM" at which time I lost power to my trailer brakes. Not only did I lose power to my trailer brakes for the remainder of my trip but I also had to listen to a dinging noise for over 2 hours while driving. Between the brakes not working and the non stop distraction from the dinging, I did not feel safe at all along with worrying about my wife and kids who were also in the vehicle.

onstar/GPS system has failed and the built in navigational system shows that there is no GPS signal. There is also water leaking by the drivers side sun visor and above the parking brake. There were no warning signs of the problem with the GPS or onstar system other than when onstar was needed for emergency use it was unavailable and the built in navigation system was unable to be used because it showed up that GPS was unavailable.

The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated upon starting the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated that he was able to restart the vehicle after 12-15 minutes. The contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring intermittently. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at 30 MPH, the instrument panel turned black temporarily. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start later that day. The contact was able to restart the vehicle the next day. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure and informed the contact that he would need to pay a repair fee as his VIN was not included in any recalls. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V265000 (Electrical System). The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

I purchased this truck from a private seller due to its capacity to tow. After driving it for one day, an alert came up on the dashboard display saying "Service: Trailer Brake System". So I hit "Dismiss", but the alert keeps coming on and it is very intermittent and very distracting. Sometimes the alarm chime will continue for several seconds causing the driver to take their eyes off the road which is dangerous, but also, who knows what will happen when towing a trailer. I've looked it up online and this is an issue with many owners of the truck so Chevrolet should do a recall and provide a fix for this.

No crank no start service theft deterent system 7 times requiring tow to dealership have replaced keys, key fob, battery, fuse block, ground and positive wires, starter, reprogrammed truck multiple times, ruled out any electrical interference no aftermarket accessories, no phone chargers ect. Seems to be a guessing game dealership throwing parts at it. Sometimes after sitting for a week will miraculously and temporarily fix it self but never find problem. This problem is over a year old having towed again this morning 4/13/21 to buckalew Chevrolet conroe tx. Truck drove fine to work parked for 12 hrs get in truck..no crank no start service theft deterent system message on media screen of radio. Alternator, battery checked starter checked again all showing functioning within normal limits but truck won't start

Have reached out to Chevrolet dealership to address concern of issue that I was able to locate same thing happening to this year vehicle where tsbs have been identified to be told my VIN # is not listed. This would require me to have a water specialist come out to the dealership to assess the issue before any repairs can be made to vehicle since there is no tsb listed. Vehicle has previously had dead battery which dealer claimed it was old battery, and therefore replaced my terminals and I purchased a new battery. My truck is a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 crew cab and is experiencing the same issue as this service bulletin is listing. Therefore dealer has stated it would be $120 to have outside company come in to inspect vehicle before and additional write up could be done and repair would be out of pocket.

My battery was dead this morning, so I jump started my truck. I let it run stationary for 10 minutes and the battery exploded. It sounded like a bomb went off. It blew the battery into pieces, electronics and the coolant resivoir. It sprayed battery acid, coolant everywhere. My ears were ringing as I was 10 feet from it. It also dented the fender on my truck. I contacted the local Chevy dealership and was blown off, was told I would be called back but was not. They said they had no information on problems with those batteries and said they couldn't get a resivoir for 3 days. We are traveling and stopped here in lebanon tn for the weekend. I have many more pictures, but they are too large to add.

When starting and driving the vehicle the infotainment system doesn't completely boot up. It is acratic and happen more then 50% of the time then operating the vehicle. This affects all audio in the vehicle, which includes turn signals audio, flashers audio, hands free voice recognition (giving & hearing voice command), receiving calls via blue tooth, calling via bluetooth, voice commands calling onstar, receiving onstar calls and this includes all media cd radio etc. This makes this vehicle unsafe because of the following: Unable to hear turns signals, unable to use hand free bluetooth when receiving and making calls including 911 and onstar.

The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the vehicle performed as expected. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.

When lifting the snowplow, randomly the dashboard cluster and radio system will go blank. GM has admitted to this flaw in their 1500 model for the same year truck, has offered a fix at their expense, however will not offer the same fix for the 2500 model, even though it has the exact same issue. (GM bulletin attached for 1500 model). I spoke to a mckayla (supervisor) in the warranty department. She said GM will not cover it and it is an out of pocket expense. She further stated if at a time GM decides it is a fault of theirs in the future, I would at that time be reimbursed. I have included the dealer repair slip that shows harness needed replacement and the cost of repair.
