rear impact sensor failed

2016 Truck is two months old with 2500 miles and received “Service Stabilitrak” message. Called dealer for appointment. Scheduled to take in on Tuesday. On Sunday I was accelerating on freeway entrance ramp about to merge into traffic when suddenly the truck decided to decel at a high rate speed on its own. Almost had the guy behind me in my rear end. Forced me to pull off to the side of road and then the truck relaxed and coasted. Was able to accelerate back onto the freeway. This was a dangerous situation to have the vehicle decal at high rate of speed on its own without me applying brakes or to have downshifted the truck. Brakes lights would not have been on to warn traffic behind me. Could have caused an accident. Dealer is replacing rear impact sensor at this time.

Update from Jul 21, 2016: Was not rear impact sensor. Dealer mixed it up with another truck. Problem has not been found. Truck has been in dealership for three days.
