Looking at the complaints and service bulletins, it's obvious that GM has a problem with their fuel level gauge sending unit in the tank. I also have the problem, along with many others in the area. It appears that no one intends to do anything about it. It appears that someone is going to have to run out of gas in the middle of a busy highway, and when trying to get off the hwy, somebody gets killed, before anything is done. Or, one of our wives gets stranded by running out of gas, and raped and/or murdered, before anything is done. This will keep going until one of the above incidents occurs and a class action suit of all the people that have the problem come together in the suit. We all know what happens then. The lawyers win, and everybody else looses. Fixing the problem would certainly be the cheapest corrective action in the long run.
