Sonic LT 1.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 55,000 miles

check engine light came on intermittently. dearer diagnosed the air intake was cracked and they replaced. problem. check engine light was out for about 5000 miles then came back on . coded that the engine was running lean. light would go on and off randomly again.

After filling the tank, and making sure the gas cap was on tight and 'one click' the vehicle would not start without cranking engine over for about 1 minutes. it would run very rough. this car sucks.

Sonic

  • Manual transmission
  • 10,000 miles

I bought a 2013 Sonic and commute 110 miles a day. I bought this car to save on gas and to my surprise it uses a half a tank of gas each day and that is when I use cruise control! Had it in for service and nothing is wrong with it or nothing is showing up as wrong......What am I spending in gas is more than the car payment.

I am suppose to get 35 highway miles and I get 31 and sometimes it is worse.......Does anyone drive a sonic with MPG problems??
