Spark LS 1.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 45,000 miles

Kept making load noise which ate my tires quickly from the right passenger side. Had to replace all 4 tires in addition to getting the work done for the wheel bearing. I can't believe this happened with such little miles on the vehicle. Also the bolts that hold the strut and the caliper for the brakes were incredibly rusted which made it difficult to perform the work.

Spark 1.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 69,000 miles

Chevy dealer took car in to check on other problems, including excessively loud noise in May 2017, found out tires were cupped and wheel hub bearings were worn....uh, not....took the car to a tire shop and they put car on lift and did an extensive check on car. Said it's the bracket on top of the hub that is not very secure and is "bouncing" around....need struts to stop tires from cupping, which two other mechanics told me was the problem prior to my getting the new tires. Okay, 500 down for tires, now another 700 needed for shocks and struts at just over 70,000 miles. Both the tire guys and the shops I took it to said normally it doesn't need it to be done under 150,000. So don't take dealers word for it.
