i've known about that sensor going bad and causing any car to shut down and restart later but, the dealer and car shops play stupid to get the most out of your pocket. thats one of the first thing to look at.

Suburban 2500 diesel

my Suburban just shuts down while you are driving. the batteries, cables and alternater have been checked and are ok. sometimes we tighten down the cables (even though they are already tight) and it starts back up and runs fine for a few days then it happens again. Other times it has just started up after waiting a few seconds. we have two batteries. when the engine shuts down we still have the lights and radio.
