The puddle lights only light up when you hit Unlock on the key fob. When you shut off the vehicle and open the doors, the puddle lights do not light up. They did light up upon the doors being opened when we first got the vehicle.

Update from Dec 31, 2016: This, and all of the other electronics problems listed previously, was related to a short in the courtesy light module. Module was replaced by dealer under warranty and problem never returned.
