Tahoe LT 5.3L V8

Very annoying when I drive at night those dam interior lights flash like if I have a strobe light inside the truck. Embarrassing and kids hate it. I had to cover with black tape for a temporary fix. Only flashes when I turn on the left blinker and push on brake light.

This is a good one. When you step on the brakes, the interior lights flash. Yep. Who knew the brakes and the interior lights were connected. Apparently there is a service bulletin for this issue, but it's not a recall. At night I can see where it's a safety issue, but during the day it's just annoying. The dealer wanted to charge me to replace the interior panel and lights, but it was fairly expensive. Between this and the AC going out, I'm less impressed with the car. For the most part I really like the car/truck, but these little issues wear away at that.

This was a very annoying issue that took time to get corrected. There were no replacement lamps available they at any Chevy dealer so they had to end up putting out a stat to locate. It took 3 weeks before I could take my truck in for repairs.

Tahoe LT 5.3L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 8,000 miles

All cabin lights flicker on and off quickly (< 1 second) and intermittently. Took it to the dealer and advised about the person who posted here that replacing the computer that controls door locks and alarm etc. was that dealer's solution. They advised there is a GM bulletin on the problem and that the solution is to replace all the light bulb with "special bulbs". Still waiting for the parts to see if after they install them the problem goes away.

From day 1 my internal LED lights/ dome lights/ reading lights etc flask or flicker for a split second when the brakes are hit or sometimes when the turn signal is engaged. The problem is not really noticeable during the day (its bright) but at night time this is REALLY annoying and REALLY dangerous as its like a flash light going off in your car.

I brought to a dealer and they told me "yeah that's a problem, but we don't know how to fix it" Mind you this was a couple of weeks after driving off the lot with the car.I'm bringing into another dealer next week to see what they say.

I would expect that Chevy would be more on top of this, as the flickering lights are dangerous and could be the cause of accident and injury.

Dec 012014

Tahoe LT 5.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 8,000 miles

all the overhead lights randomly started flashing whenever we stepped on the brake.

After 5 days the dealer found the problem and replaced the computer that controls the radio, alarm, door locks, etc.

Problem was fixed after they replaced that computer (replaced the computer twice as the first replacement would not take the programming)

The last thing I need when driving at night is my interior lights flashing on and off for no reason! It's not only annoying, but it's a safety hazard. It's the front and the back interior lights. It's like having a photographer in all the other passenger seats, and to make it worse, it happens when I use the brake. It's a bit startling everytime because even though I know the problem is there I don't think about it every single time I brake. Also it happens when I use the left turn signal.... I Googled the issue and found that others are having this issue too but no one has a fix. :( As soon as I get time off from work I plan to have a dealership look at this. Hopefully I won't have to drive with paparazzi any longer. >:-(
