Poor design and testing. GM knows about problem and needs to correct it.

Purchased brand new 2015 Chevy Tahoe LT model with all the bells and whistles except one, no HID lights. GM doesn't offer HID lights in the LT model. Love the truck except one thing, the lights suck big time, during night driving is impossible, can't see 40 feet ahead of me, it is really unsafe. Came to see the dealer about the problem, he's answer was nothing he can do. Tried different light bulbs from Sylvania ZXE no difference. $62,000 car and I cannot drive at night, only American cars would have such a problem. Cannot install aftermarket HID kit because that will void electric warranty from GM. I think if GM cannot fix the problem then they should offer HID conversion kit option.

The headlights are too low. You can't see far enough down the road at all. In fact, there is a line at about eye level where the lights stop and dark starts. Makes you feel like you need to duck to see further down the road. This is very dangerous when driving on dark roads out in the country, especially when deer are everywhere. They would literally have to be in your bumper for you to see them. Dealer said that they could not raise due to the fact that the lights would hit the casing??? So I am guessing there is no correction at all! This is a big deal and not safe at all.
