This truck his been out of the shop only 3 days since Dec. 29, 2017. So I notice that the remote start wouldn't work. I figured that I need to reset something since I had just got the truck back from the shop the day before, but I saw that the check engine light was on. I asked OnStar to run an On-Demand Diagnostic and this is what they found:

The code(s) and explanation(s) associated with this issue is/are:

P0011 The Engine and Transmission System is not performing as expected. An issue has been detected in the Variable Valve Timing System adjust the timing of fuel delivery for more efficient engine operation. If the check engine light is flashing, a misfire condition has been detected. A misfire increases vehicle emissions and could damage the emission control system on the vehicle. Please reduce vehicle speed, avoid hard accelerations, avoid steep uphill grades, and reduce any cargo loads such as a trailer. If the vehicle is continually driven with the check engine light on, the emission controls might not work as well, the vehicle fuel economy might not be as good, and the engine might not run as smoothly. This could lead to future repairs.
