Tahoe Hybrid Limited 6.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 132,000 miles

We have a 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe hybrid. worst purchase in a long time. It started knocking and barely running on the interstate. Had it towed to the shop. They said it was collapsed lifter. Had it repaired for 1200 bucks. Lasted 3 weeks. Again same problem. Back to shop and replaced all the lifters. $2700.00 this time. Lasted 300 miles, again same issue. Shop has know idea what is causing this Does anybody know why this keeps happening? My guys are lost. They don't know what to do. They think it may not be fixable. Help please.

Tahoe Hybrid 6.0L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 34,000 miles

This is the sixth time in the shop this year. Each time jerking has been an issue. Now, the engine runs rough at start up. Chevrolet insisted that we take the vehicle from the dealer they agreed could service it back to the selling dealer since they had been paid for warranty work on the fifth trip in which required lifter repair. So we drove it 30 miles further for a diagnostic (?), but that dealer couldn't work on it - go figure!
