as a duaghter of a retired chevrolet employee i am very upset to think they wouldnt take more pride in theyre work and recall all these suvs that are having this problem instead of ignoring people that have paid a great deal of money for a suv thats doesnt function properly.this only makes us not want to trust in the gm name again. a non working speedometer may not be a big deal to some but it is to me.when you look down one time you will see your speed is 0,then 5 minutes later you can be setting at a light and it says 120 mph...i really think a recall is important, this is a very costly repair,if not i am considering trading it in and my next choice sadly to say will not be a chevy.

I was shocked! Filled up tank, went to empty and I went back and accused the service station guy of not having gas in his tank. Shocked at how my tank could show empty when I just filled up; have talked with Chevy Corp about this problem, had truck in for inspection at a cost 0f $103.00 to me and am awaiting results or call from them to get my standing. I feel there should be a recall and I be reimbursed for the amount spent for the inspection. It was like I could I have made this happen when Chevy knows all along that this is due to defective workmanship and parts. They should just suck it up and fix all the malfunctioning parts and perhaps hold on to a few customers with the hopes of them returning. Me, I will think more than twice before purchasing another.

05 Trailblazer has an inoperative speedometer and gas gauge. Called GM and told them about the problem. They told me to take it to a dealer and have it diagnosed ($99) and if the dealer verified it was a cluster problem they would reimburse me for the diagnostic and pay for the replacement. DON'T FALL FOR THIS. I took the truck in Friday, the dealer confirmed that it was a cluster problem and forwarded the information to GM with the case number. GM called me back and asked how many GM's I've purchased (4 in 12 yrs, obviously not enough) and where I got the maintenance done (3 Chevy Dealerships, obviously not enough) he then said he would call me back. GM contacted me to inform me that they would pay $0 and they would not honor their commitment to reimburse me for the diagnostic. So in short if you follow GM's recommendation you will pay $99 for a diagnostic that tells you that your speedometer and gas gauges are broken... really... I guess they assumed I was blind. And they will not honor thier commitment to pay for it if their own diagnostic verifies it's a cluster problem. I regret supporting this company over the past 12 years and they will not get a penny from me in the future. This company does not back up what they know is a defective part and they got another $99 outta me just in case I wasn't sure that the speedometer pointing straight down meant it was broke.

My problem started with my gas gauge always reading empty even though I just filled up. After buying a GPS I realized my speedometer was off anywhere from 5 - 10 miles an hour and got worse the longer I drove. GM sucks and I will never buy another car from them. The service departments have always sucked whenever you have a warranty problem and take it in on the weekend they dont want to fix it cause it doesnt make them any money. The dealership I bought my truck from no longer exists ....good riddance!!!!!!!!!!!! See you at the toyota or Nissan dealership.

Not sure why chevy will not own up to the problem with the cluster,oh I know why we the TAX PAYER have no more money to bail them out again....so now the easy way out is to act like they don't know anything about it.So to the CEO of GM enjoy the last few dollars that I have to give as you ride around in a trouble free car that, I Jeff the TAX PAYER has made good for you, while I paint mine yellow with the .99$ spay paint(because that is all I have after my repair of your piece of sh----t that you call quality)I would love to use mine as a boat anchor but the tree huggers wouldn't like that either. So next time you need money for bad loans on gmac call someone else, not us the TAX PAYER and stand behind your piece of sh---t........

About a month ago my speedometer and tachometer got stuck on 35 when I was going 50mph. Now everytime I drive it is sticking at 10 to 20 mph. This is getting very annoying and when I called GM the person on the phone was very patronizing that pissed me off. I have always like Chevy products and was thinking about purchasing from them again. I may rethink my decission.

GM needs to get their head out of their a$$ and recall the dashboard cluster. There are thousands of complaints all over the web and GM refuses to take ownership. My speedometer and gas gauge are both out of whack. I can be sitting at a stop light and my cars says I'm going 90mph. I am afraid of getting pulled over again for speeding because I have no idea how fast I'm actually going. Luckily the one time I was pulled over the CHP officer was sympathetic to my case and let me go. I have run out of gas several times because my gauge says I'm always on "E". I have to fill up every 250 miles just to "be safe". I called a local dealership and was told that the diagnosis would be $105 because my car was out of warranty. The cost for the part would be approximately $550 to $600. This is absolutely insane!!! I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau, "Fight Back" with Sam Horowitz, The Attorney General, The District Attorney, local TV stations, newspapers and every other scam website possible to report GM's neglect to this MAJOR vehicle issue. I am a Marine Veteran and Union Worker so I have always purchased GM vehicles. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT ON A GM DEALERSHIP EVER AGAIN!!!

another cluster failure in my fleet!! AAARRRGGGHHH!!!! this one popped last week and had i repaired today.. this is cluster #8 of my fleet, which is predominantly gm at this point. and that will be changing soon. i have 22 of 35 vehicles in my fleet that are gm and all newer models 2004 and up, and now this is the 8th cluster that i have had to replace on my dime, and i am told by customer service that this is my issue. i have spent most of the morning on the phone with gm and they have in alot of glorified words have told me to pound sand... no wonder they had to take a bailout... they cant even man up to their poor electrical/mechanical quality of the past few years...

GMC should do a recall on this they know about the problem and they refuse to do anything about it not only on Trailblazer but also on all pick up Trucks. I Manage a Construction Company Im all for buying American but when you have over 50 trucks in a fleet Manufacture by GMC and 70% of the truck we have to replace at our own expense the Odometer at a average mile of 50,000 miles that is not right for the American customer.

I am tired of keeping track of my mileage because my gas gauge doesn't work. I was also told by the service department at a dealership that he has seen this alot in Chevrolets and it would cost about $600.00 just to run a check to see what the problem is that is causing it not to work!!! I decided I would rather put the $600.00 in my tank and keep track of my mileage, but it is so aggrevating. It seems like I am putting gas in it all the time!!! I worry about my safety more that anything...I don't want to be stranded anywhere.
