The below type of incident has happened to me at least 12 times. When driving anywhere from 25-40 miles per during each of the incidents, the traction control light would activate on the dash, chimes would activate, and the display indicated "service traction control" and "service stabilitrak". the message and the light remain on until the car is turned off and turned on again. This happened 9 times when hitting a moderate sized bump in the road, 1 time when driving through a heavy rain storm with ponding on the highway, and 2 times with no triggering condition. The problem is that the light goes out and the display resets after the car is turned off so it is nearly impossible to recreate this issue for a dealer to diagnose. When I have taken the car to be serviced, the mechanics cannot recreate the condition and it ultimately gets ignored.

Riding down the road and the stabilitrak/traction light comes on, car powers down and car behind me almost hit me causing an accident. Good thing kids were not in car. Dangerous and scary situation, getting a lawyer...
