Traverse

  • Automatic transmission
  • 99,000 miles

I think that is absolutely ridiculous to have major engine problems under 100,000 miles. Many cars can last close to 200,000 miles without major issues. I continue to read all the complaints about the timing chains in the traverse and all have been under 100,000 miles. I also see that major problems were noted for the 2010 & 2011 models but Chevy won't own up to the problems for the 2012. It's obviously still a problem.

It's very sad that cars make in the United States are so poorly made. I went from a Nissan to a Chevy and I regret the decision. I was very excited to get the Traverse due to my family size, the price etc but due to the repairs it's actually more expensive than buying and maintaining a foreign made vehicle. The sad part is that my husband wants to purchase a Chevy Silverado but we will never purchase Chevy again.
