problem #2

Uplander LT

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

We bought our Uplander used and when the temperatures turned cold we noticed that the driver was extra cold while the rest of the vehicle seemed to be warm. We took it in to the Chevrolet garage and they kept it to diagnose while giving us a rental car. They took a great deal of time with the car and were not able to fix it, they told us we would have to live with it. After more complaints, it was not heard and there was no fix. It seems that when you drive when the sun is out, there is lots of heat but if it is cloudy or night driving it blows cold on the driver. Now we are dealing with Chevrolet customer service and they keep sending us back for hours of mechanics time being charged to us and they still have no solution.

Uplander LT 3.2V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 35,000 miles

There is a major design flaw in the a/c vents. They cannot be directed at the driver. Therefore the van never seems to cool down. The dealer Bill Heard Chevy agrees with me. The Chevy rep said he never heard of this problem. It is the same with the 06 & 07 models. Also the compressor seems to cut-out every few miles for a few seconds making the temperature of the air rise for a few seconds.
