I am shocked to find there are no complaints for the Chevy Uplander 2006. If you Google Chevy UPlander lemon, you get plenty of complaints about the doors. When I drive uphill, the doors tend to slide open. They are both electric sensors and I have to pull over and play with them until they feel like shutting. You cannot manually shut the doors. I took it to the dealer and they can find NOTHING wrong with them. They should talk to my 3 boys that cannot stand our 2 year old vehicle. We bought it new with the DVD and they loved it. I think I am going to keep the video camera in my car because I think the dealer just thinks I like to make up things. The brakes and rotors are another issue. I guess I need to fill out a separate complaint for that one. Apparently brakes installed at GM service facilities only last 5,000 miles. No wonder they are warranted for 12,000 or 12 months. It looks like I am going to use that warranty to death. Also, I wonder if they are ever even changing them. Maybe just rotating them around.

In September of 2006 we bought a bran new Chevy Uplander mini van, Around March we started having trouble, I came out from my daughter's dance class to find my passenger side slider open, and the inside of the vehicle covered in snow, I grabbed the passenger door and it was locked, so this must have happened on it's own, this same thing happened in early April on the driver side slider, and again, In August this happened again, except the vehicle was moving and my two kids were in the car, we were in South Carolina the door opened (driver's side again) and would not shut, would close and then retract open again, again and again, we called onstar, and went through an hour of problem solving with them, still no result, I reported this to the NHTSA and GM, the dealership this time kept the car for a month, to then return it to me saying they could not find the problem but that it would "never happen again" this last weekend it did, so I am back to square one, a dangerous van, doors that open and two little kids, it is clear what is important to GM is not child safty!
