2016 Chevy Volt with 16,228mi. Was driving in Carpool lane on freeway then all the sudden I had no throttle and the car stopped moving. it slowed to a crawl, only able to coast to a dead stop during rush hour traffic. Needless to say I was dead stop blocking the Carpool lane. The vehicle had to be towed to Simpson Chevrolet using my AAA membership. Turns out the Voltage Regulator had internally shorted out throwing a "16055 Reduced Propulsion Power" error.

However, GM marks down on my invoice that the work entailed 0.40hrs and it was a "Reprogrammed Hybrid Powertrain Control Module".

They had the vehicle close to 3 weeks and I checked with the parts counter and they also confirmed that a "power train" module had to be ordered in and would normally cost almost $30k to replace without any warranty if this was the case. Lucky it was covered under warranty.
