I wish I had copied my response from my first complaint; then, I would only have to paste it rather than type it all over again.

Ok, here we go again. I received a letter from Chrysler stating a necessary emissions recall for catalyst efficiency on my 20215 Chrysler 200. I scanned to them what I thought was sufficient information but, in retrospect, realized I omitted the most crucial part - the paperwork to show that I paid for the service (out of pocket) performed on my car.

The paperwork stated that once they receive and verify the required documents, reimbursement will be sent within 60 days. I called 90 days later to find out the status of my claim. I was told my paperwork had been put aside because I lacked documentation. They told me I needed proof that I had paid for the service. I called the bank, and they emailed me the information I needed.

I have all the necessary paperwork needed. I want to know where to sent this information? How soon will I hear from you? Where do I go from here?

Driving the car and when the brake is pressed to slow down the car simply shuts off. Almost had an accident with the car in front of me because when the car shut off, the braking system does not operate or slow down as well. This seems to be fairly common with the Chrysler 200, what does it take to get someone to remedy this situation with this make and model. Perhaps after the right person gets hurt or killed, Chrysler will do something about it.

Absolutely ridiculous! I've had this car almost 4 years. It is just getting worse. I live in Ohio, we get cold this time of year so I have to go start the car 15 minutes before I leave (and that doesn't guarantee that it won't stall). Anytime the air temp is below 50, I am sure it will stall as soon as I have to stop at a red light or stop sign. It's fine until I go to start....then it just shuts down. No warning, no code, no lights...nothing! Just dead. When I try to restart it, it will usually start the first try (It struggles to start, but usually does). Only once have I had to push the button to try and start the second time. This is dangerous!!!! I leave work and pull onto a 4 lane road, while my car is deciding it's time to shut off.

I was dropping my son off at school and the engine just stopped while turning a corner. The screen said shift to P for ignition. I had cars behind me and in front of me AND my 7-year-old son in the car. It happened again on my way home, also turning a corner, but it has happened in traffic. Today was the first time it happened back to back within minutes.

I've never received a recall notice about my issue. My car shuts off while I'm driving. Online search shows me about the problem and people getting shut down while driving on highway. I'm actually afraid to drive my car. It shut off when I was crossing a busy street - I have to shift to P and restart to try to get moved quickly. OMG. This has happened over past couple months. Battery & alternator check out okay. I found information on problem with fuse & relay box connector problems from Chrysler.

Why won't they buy back this hazard vehicle?? 2015 Chrysler 200S. Online search shows problem start occurring around 31,000 miles and I have just over 32,000 on my car. Not sure this can be 'fixed' to make me feel safe in my car again. I refuse to get on the highway and take the chance. I'm logging my complain because I can't get a response from Chrysler direct and I need answers.

My friend who has the same car as me has also experienced this annoying ass issue. I've called Chrysler and they've totally ignored how fkn dangerous this s*** is.

Engine/electrical randomly shuts off. Sometimes it turns back on, and sometimes you have to get it towed out of the middle of the road. Dealerships can't do anything because it's random and won't do it for them and the system doesn't throw a code of any kind. I read about it all over the internet, but no one can fix it. So I'm either stuck selling it to screw someone over, or risking my life driving it every day and hope I'm not on a busy road when it decides to quit!! Someone HELP!

This is the 7th week in the year 2020 that the car has come to a stop and the engine has stalled while driving. I was making a turn after being stopped at a red light and it shut off when I decelerated at the stop sign or light. Luckily I was able to pull over and get my emergency lights on before any cars came up behind me, but I may not be so lucky next time - I might get hit. I have taken it to the Metroplex Mopar dealership on Denton Dr in Dallas TX but from what I've been reading, they haven't been much help. I've had my 2015 Chrysler 200 for almost 5 years and this just started happening. I can't afford to get a new car or to keep taking this one to the shop for them just to tell me they can't do anything about it. I read the manual and it said the OBD II system needed to be reset and I did that with another mechanic but it still doesn't work. I need help. I'm contacting Chrysler on Twitter.

I emailed a lawyer doing a lawsuit and this was his response.....

Mr. Reyes, I did not receive your first email, but I received your below 2/27/20 email and information and unfortunately, we cannot represent you in this matter. Please understand that our firm is very selective of the cases we take, since we are a private law firm and we rely solely on our ability to win our clients’ cases to be paid. Also, there is a Class Action Settlement involving some Chrysler 200 vehicles equipped with a 9 Speed ZF 9HP Automatic Transmission. There has been recalls for this vehicle - I went to have the dealership repair the recalls, mostly they can't reproduce the problem so they do not fix it - only for it to happen later. This incident occurs when I come to a stop, the lights on the dash flickers then the engine shuts off. The engine will not respond for several minutes. After waiting for several minutes I have to press the start button until it get to the run position then it will work (so far). This very painful when you're on busy streets, I'm concerned I'll get caught in traffic on the interstate and the engine cuts off.

Problem started in June 2020. Since check engine light did not come on, the dealer could not figure out the issue, and after doing research found Recall by Chrysler stating issue is PCM update needed or Transmission wiring harness needs to be replaced. Then the problem happened again in August 2020. Dealer had car for few day's then figured it was the PCM that needed the update, and I paid for this service issue.

It happened again on 9/3/2020. This time dealer stated issue was resolved, so I picked up car on 9/5/2020 and the issue happened again. This time dealer had car until 9/28/2020 and stated issue was PDC (Power Distribution Center or Valve Control/Multi air actuator). They made repairs and charged me $1447. I picked up car and it was running horrible could not pull out of the dealer, then they kept car again and stated that 3 of the 4 spark plugs were not gaped correctly (NEW PLUGS INSTALLED BY DEALER).

They replaced the plugs again, took car and had same issue 3 days later. Dealer has had car since. Called Chrysler and stated my car is not part of the recall the recall was for Cars made from 1/2019 to 9/2019. However there is a bulletin stating that 2015 models are experiencing the same issue. Chrysler is Horrible and I will never purchase anything made by them ever or would recommend to anyone buying any type of Chrysler car - they do not stand by their product.

About 6 months ago, I went to start my 2015 Chrysler 200 and it wouldn't start. I had to have it jumped. It ran for a few days, then it happened again. Next, it started stalling at stop lights. Sometimes the engine would die. The problem progressed as time went on.

My car eventually was unsafe to drive anywhere. At any time, the engine would die, regardless if I was driving down the highway at 60mph or slowing down. I have contacted the Chrysler recall department and they stated that my vin number was not listed on their recall list so there was nothing they could do. (Even though the 2015 Chrysler 200s are known for this issue).

I also have had it put on a computer and they can not detect any issues. I am at a loss as to what else to do. I have a car that is unsafe to drive. I tried to move it off the street today, after jumping it, it moved 10 feet and died, and would not restart. I am open to any suggestions.

This is definitely an issue. This could cause serious injuries if it happens while driving at a high speed. Luckily, I was slowing down to come to a stop sign when it happened. Again, the car simply stalls when decreasing the speed to slow down or stop. This is an ongoing problem and it seems to be common in this make /model. I have my service records up to date and at regular intervals and when recommended. I purchased the car new, with only 6 miles on it when I took ownership. However, no one seems interested in fixing the problem. I will GUARANTEE that I will never purchase a Chrysler again in my life, and I will make it my mission to deter anyone that I have any concern about to never purchase this piece of sh*t either.
